FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: charge made of boron oxide (50-62 wt. -%) and magnesium is subjected for thermic working at combustion regime under pressure of inert gas 0.05-0.9 MPa. Charge components were placed in paper envelope which fits with internal reactor walls. Invention ensures to increase total boron content in the end product from 86% to 88-91% and that of free boron from 1.0-1.5% to 3.7-6.5% Method can be used for elemental boron extraction.
