FIELD: production of jelly from agar broth. SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a chamber with broth-delivery pipe, an outlet hole with gate and jacket for letting cooling liquid in and out. Secured tightly by means of a sealing cup on the outlet hole is a branch pipe with ports. Its upper part with ports is located in the chamber while its lower part, outside. The branch pipe accommodates a knife connected with a rotation drive by a shaft extending along the pipe axis. The gate is a pipe whose upper end is connected to an axial motion mechanism and which is installed on the pipe inside the chamber so that its upper end in the downmost position is disposed above the broth level and the lower end is in contact with sealing cup. The apparatus has a device in the chamber for cutting jelly into large blocks. EFFECT: improved design. 2 cl, 3 dwg
