FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: protective cover for slope 2 includes horizontal layers of blocks 1 of utilized tyres connected to each other. The rows of the tyres form stepwise surface. Rows of blocks in adjacent layers are displaced by a length exceeding or equal to the width of tyre side to form through vertical passages 5. Cavities in the tyres and passages 5 are filled with soil 6 and seeded with plants 7. Water supply pipes 8 are laid between adjacent rows of tyres in parallel to slope 2 generatrix. The pipes are provided with valves in the form of L-shaped pipe branches passing through tyre walls facing each other. The tyres are provided with stopping members to fix the pipe branch. Upper tyre rows 11 and lower tyre rows 3 are supplied with waterproofing aprons 12 compensators 13 for deformation in the form of apron folds, and upper pipe ends 8 are connected to a water tank. EFFECT: increased reliability under seismic effects. 2 cl, 7 dwg
