FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear box has parallel driven and driving shafts, constantly engaging gearings and gear wheels, and mechanism for shifting gears. The mechanism is constructed as bushings mounted on shafts between the gearings and gear wheel, spiral screw springs mounted on bushings, sleeves, and overrunning clutches. One of the face parts of the springs are rigidly secured to the gear wheels. The face parts are rectangular in cross-section, and pitch of the wounding and area of cross-section of the springs decrease from one end to the other. The sleeves have openings in their bottoms, are mounted on the spring, and their bottoms point in the direction of increasing area of the cross-section of the springs. The overrunning clutches are mounted on the gearings and provided with locking members kinematically coupled with the sleeves. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 1 dwg
