FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant is designed for providing combined operation of internal combustion engine with at least one spring mechanism capable of accumulating energy with subsequent transmission of energy to vehicle. Plant contains internal combustion engine mechanically coupled with electric generator connected to storage battery and electric motor with gear fitted on motor shaft. Crankshaft of internal combustion engine is furnished with slider mechanism with drive gear installed in crankshaft for longitudinal displacement for engagement of its gear with gear of electric motor and connection to power takeoff shaft of plant by means of clutch cover plate, gearbox and at least one step-up gear with bevel gears and one spring mechanism coupled with output shaft of step-up gear and connected by means of toothed wheel to gear secured on plant power takeoff shaft. Internal combustion engine is furnished with plate and gearshift lever, and electric generator, with shifter fork. EFFECT: increased power output and efficiency, reduced fuel consumption. 1 dwg
