FIELD: measuring equipment. SUBSTANCE: device comprises a carriage with supports for its positioning on guides, and a support with a target intended to determine the position of the carriage relative to the axis of reference light beams. The supports have the form of three shoes with cylindrical registration surfaces whose axis is located in the center of the target and whose radius is equal to the design distance of guide supporting surfaces from the apparatus axis. The lower part of the carriage has a block with extensible stops interacting with the sides of the guides and with an indicator for measuring the distance between said guides. EFFECT: considerably simplified installation of guides in column-type apparatuses. 2 dwg
