FIELD: industrial sewage treatment. SUBSTANCE: method involves adding salts of fatty acids (e.g. sodium salts) to sewage before delivering it into a rectifying tower, bringing its concentration to 8-14 wt.-% heating to 100-105 C and injecting into the lower part of the column upper zone, distilling volatile compounds (alcohols) from the upper part of said zone. Ethers are discharged from the middle zone of the column while the resulting concentrate of fatty acid salts is discharged from the lower zone of the column, partly returning said concentrate into the source sewage. The method provides for separate singling out of alcohols, ethers and salts of fatty acids with a possibility for their utilization, and for cleaning the water by 99-99.5% from organic pollutants.
