FIELD: processing of worn tires. SUBSTANCE: base rings are induction-heated concurrently with heating of metal cord. The tire is heated in the induction zone for 3-11 s. Rubber is separated from metal cord by concurrent grinding of rubber and metal in a grinder. Simultaneous heating of base rings and metal cord is effected by fitting the inductor around the external profile of the tire in its cross section. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
