FIELD: processing of materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of materials, in particular, to processing of used tyres. In processing the used tyres are fitted onto expendable mandrel with an additional drive and move the mandrel with tyres fitted on the carriage towards the milling cutter by means of the feed motor drive. Then the milling cutter driven by the main motor mills the tyres. After milling, a coarse crumb and fabric are separated from the powder fine crumb for it to be sent into a magnetic separator to get the metal separated. The milling conditions consist of running, at a time, the milling cutter by the main motor drive and the mandrel with tyres driven by the additional drive, and translational motion of the carriage driven by the feed electric motor drive at the rate exceeding the carriage working motion. After milling, the tyre cylindrical surface clamped between expendable discs, the tyre lateral sides get clamped between the smaller diameter discs to go on milling. A mulling cutter is made as cutting members fixed in the holder so that to allow changing their position relative to the holder with due account of wear.

EFFECT: reliable operation of the equipment, wider range of tyres that can be processed, simpler processing process.
