SUBSTANCE: planetary mechanism at gearbox output plays part of differential under summing up duty; one power flow is transmitted directly to sun gear 16, and the other, with different gear ratios, to carries 17 with planet pinions 18. Speed of rotation of epicyclic wheel 19 and torque across wheel change in wider range as those at planetary mechanism input. Free fitting of gear on shafts provides increase in number of speeds. Ten gears provide sixteen different speeds (fourteen forward speeds and two reverse speeds). EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg
