FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: scraper conveyor chain tensioner has base, scraper chain, scraper chain drive, hydraulic jacks, hydraulic distributor, controlled valves and device to equalize working fluid pressure in piston spaces of hydraulic jacks. Drive is installed on base for longitudinal displacement. Hydraulic jacks are installed symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of base. Each jack is connected by ends, respectively, with drive frame and with base. Working fluid pressure equalizer is made in form of unit with cylindrical space and dividing member. The latter in installed in space for longitudinal travel. Base is made in form of plate. Dividing member divides cylindrical space into two chambers of equal volume. Each chamber hydraulically communicates through controlled valve with piston space of corresponding hydraulic cylinder. EFFECT: enhanced operation reliability. 4 cl, 3 dwg
