FIELD: materials handling. SUBSTANCE: head of scraper conveyor with sliding drive has drive, support plate, end section, insert chute and hydraulic jacks for tensioning scraper chain. Drive is mounted on support plate for travel. End section is secured on support plate. Insert chute is installed in end section for longitudinal travel. End section has support sheet dividing its inner space into upper and lower channels, and put-on guides. The latter are secured on sides of end section. Insert chute and drive frame are interconnected by hinge joints. Each hydraulic jack is hinge-connected by one end with drive frame. Other end of each hydraulic jack is hinge- connected with drive frame. Other end of each hydraulic jack is hinge- connected with end section.
