FIELD: sugar production. SUBSTANCE: beet-root cutter has fastening part and operating part with parallel ribs. Cross section of the ribs is conical and cone angle equal to 11 - 22 , and rib end surfaces has sharping angle to horizontal plane equal to 8 - 16 to form wedge- type dispersing members used to disperse beet-root layer to a predetermined depth. Sections of cutter operating part between rib bases are also of cone shape in cross section with cone angle equal 110 - 130 to form toothed flat cutting angles used to form flat cut of the dispersed beetroot layer at the same depth.
