FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: gravitational device has support 1 and electric machine 2 connected to high-speed shaft of the transmission by means of connecting machine 3; low-speed shaft 5 of the transmission is connected with power shaft 7 of excitation section "a" by means of clutch 6. Rigidly secured on power shaft 7 are cams 8 and 9 whose working planes are shifted through 180 deg relative to each other. In addition to shaft 7 secured in bearings 10, excitation section "a" is provided with housings 11 and 12 each of which embraces shaft 7 and respective cam; housings 11 and 12 are secured in bearings 16 and are provided with sprockets 17 rigidly secured on them; secured to sprockets at one end by means of hold-down are chains having weight at opposite end; they link sprockets 17 of excitation section "a" with sprockets 21 of power section б; pitch diameter of sprocket 17 is more than that of sprocket 21. Power section б has power shaft 24 secured in bearings 25; one end of this shaft carries flywheel 26 and other end carries claw clutch 27 with sprocket of multistage gearing 28 secured on it. Overrunning clutches 29 are rigidly secured on shaft 24 and are arranged respectively in housings 30 and 31 which are mounted for rotation about horizontal axis. Housings 30 and 31 are secured in bearings and are provided with stops inside them which ensure engagement of housing with overrunning clutch in lowering the cargo. Housing of overrunning clutch 29 has two parallel circular slots in which levers are evenly located over circumference for counter-clockwise rotation; levers of one slot are shifted over circumference relative to levers of other slot.
