FIELD: oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method for killing of development well includes injection into tubing of viscoelastic compound and closing the tubing. Then, viscoelasting compound is injected into tubing-to-borehole annulus, and it is closed. Technological hold time up to pressure stabilization on wellhead is maintained. Killing liquid is injected through tubing-to-borehole annulus in the volume equalling the volume of well. In this event, injection pressure of viscoelastic compound is determined by the condition given in the invention description. EFFECT: higher efficiency in well killing.
