FIELD: transportation devices. SUBSTANCE: device has fixed hearth 1, walking beams 2 with bearing uprights 3 and load-bearing part 4. Walking beams are connected with vertical and horizontal motion mechanism 5. Articles 6 are hearth are longitudinal channels 8 for motion of pushing uprights 9 secured on walking beams. Distance between load-bearing uprights is equal to longitudinal motion pitch H and that between load-bearing uprights and pushing uprights is equal to (H + 0.5B), where B is width of load-bearing part of load-bearing upright. Device makes it possible to simplify construction of furnace through single-sided charging and discharging of articles, to enhance sealing of working space due to blind laying of second end face of furnace, to cut by half lines of transportation of articles from and to furnace and to reduce number of attending personnel. Besides that, invention makes it possible to exclude additional discharge of combustion products from furnace, to enhance efficiency of recovery of heat of combustion products having left one zone of direct recuperation of heat and to enhance degree of direct recuperation.
