FIELD: thermal treatment of articles; heat treatment of metals (annealing, normalizing); roasting of refractory materials, ceramics, building materials (bricks, blocks), carbon and other materials in metallurgy, refractory and construction industries; electrical and mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in heating and cooling articles in box and conveyer modes of direct heat recuperation at direct contact of surfaces of articles being cooled and heated. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
