FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method for armoring the crown bits with hard metal and other inserts includes increase of volume of locking gaskets by successive heat treatment up to deformation degree in thickness within 50%. Gaskets made of plastic materials such as duralumin are subjected to heat treatment in form of preliminary annealing and subsequent artificial ageing in assembly. Gaskets made of ledeburite steels of carbide class are subjected to austempering with subsequent tempering in assembly at 550-600 C for 2 h. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
