FIELD: mining industry, may be used for blast grinding of rocks in cryogenic zone. SUBSTANCE: method involves drilling hole in frozen rock, with hole diameter being equal to explosive charge diameter and double thickness of space between explosive charge and hole wall; filling hole with water and providing transfer of water from liquid phase into solid phase (ice); repeated drilling of hole over ice layer in axial alignment with first hole, with diameter of second hole being equal to that of explosive charge. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
