FIELD: radar and sonar systems. SUBSTANCE: signal of transmitter penetrated into receiver is subjected to analog-to-digital conversion followed by separation of quadrature-phase components and determination of initial phase; information on this phase is used for digital correction of echo-signals. Shaping of quadrature-phase components is effected through discrete Gilbert filtration or direct estimation of quadrature components of outgoing pulse amplitude. To enhance noise immunity of measuring procedures, correction of phase of echo-signals shall be accompanied by shaping the signal packet at required change of initial phase from pulse to pulse followed by matched filtration of resultant readings of voltages.
