FIELD: automated system monitoring technological processes. SUBSTANCE: SHF generator irradiates liquid medium with radio pulses and radio pulses reflected from levels of separation of liquids are received. Then probing radio pulse signals are scanned over carrier frequency from one end of range of working frequencies to another with preset discrete Phase difference between phases of reflected signals at start of scanning cycle and phases at current moment of scanning are measured in assigned time moments corresponding to time of delay of reflected radio pulse signals from each level of separation relative to probing signals by quadrature components of reflected signals. Summary phase differences between phases of reflected signals at start and finish of scanning cycle are computed in each scanning cycle for each level of separation of liquids and after termination of scanning cycles over carrier frequency values of levels of liquids are found by computed values of differences of phases. Relative changes of levels of separation of liquids are measured on fixed carrier frequency of probing radio pulses in isolated time points. EFFECT: increased measurement accuracy. 4 cl, 2 dwg
