FIELD: experimental pharmacology. SUBSTANCE: 5-isopropyl-1-phenyl-2-(B-diethylaminoethyl)-mercapto-3,4-di- hydropyrilenedine-4-ol-6-one chlorohydrate (ТБ-28) inhibits lipid peroxidation in systems in vitro and in vivo. Antioxidant activity (AOA) of ТБ-28 is measured at condition of induction of iron/ascorbate dependent lipid peroxidation in the medium of yolk lipoproteins in vitro and in vivo at induction of lipid peroxidation by administration of carbon tetrachloride to rats. For AOA detection of ТБ-28 in vitro experiments its concentration in incubation medium is maintained at the range 10-6-10-4mole/l, and in vivo experiments ТБ-28 is administrated to rats by intraperitoneally as an aqueous solution at the dose from 10 to 50 mg/kg animal mass 2 hr before CCl4 administration for 3 days. AOA of ТБ-28 exceeds that of tocopherol in vitro experiments. EFFECT: high antioxidant activity of preparation proposed. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
