FIELD: metal pressure forming. SUBSTANCE: a three-roll pass is characterized by a constant level of a lower generatrix of the blank (its value and direction); its lower roll is mounted stationary, two upper rolls are mounted with possibility of motion along lines, parallel with lines (in a plane of the pass), passing through the lower generatrix of the roll pass and through a generatrix of the roll pass, crossing a line of shortest distance from an axis of the roll pass till an axis of a respective upper roll. A line of motion of upper rolls is spaced from the above mentioned lines, parallel with them, by a value A = Ru.r.•sinψ, where Ru.r.-a radius of the upper roll, ψ- an angle between the line of the shortest distance between the axis of the roll pass and the axis of the roll and the motion line of the roll. The method of tuning the three-roll pass comprises steps of setting rolls by a feed angle around lines of shortest distance from the axis of the roll pass till the axis of the rolls and setting rolls by a rolling out angle in planes, passing through the axis of the roll pass and an axis of its rotation by the feed angle.
