WORKING STAND OF BREAK-DOWN THREE-ROLL SCREW ROLLING MILL WITH TWO-BEARING ROLLS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of intermediate rolled pieces, for example from continuously cast billet in break-down mills, working stands of break-down mills.

SUBSTANCE: working stand of three-roll break-down screw rolling mill includes one-piece housing, two-bearing rolls mounted in window of housing with inclination by (constant for rolling time period) angles for feeding and rolling out in units with chocks joined by means of detachable mounting plate. Window of housing has guiding grooves whose lateral faces are parallel relative to rolling axis and whose bases are inclined to said axis by rolling out angle. Units of two-bearing rolls (said units have chocks and plate in the form of one-piece body with turnings for arranging rolls with bearing assemblies by feed angle) are mounted in guiding grooves of window of housing with possibility of motion along them by means of lead screws with electric drives arranged in housing at side of outlet of rolled piece from stand. Bodies of rolls are forced hydraulically to bases of said grooves by effort comparable with rolling effort and also to lead screws by effort exceeding axial component of rolling effort. Drives of lead screws are electrically synchronized. Axes of turnings provided in bodies of rolls are turned by feeding angle around touching point of surface of rolled piece in deformation zone with circle describing cross section of roll in gorge.

EFFECT: enhanced rigidity, carrying capability, lowered mass and size of stand, simplified adjustment of mill, improved efficiency and accuracy of rolled pieces, increased useful time period of stand.
