FIELD: sewage treatment. SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of oil-containing sewage is accomplished in five stages in the following sequence: anaerobic, microaerofil, intensive aerobio and aerofil treatment with natural aeration. In so doing, a part of biomass from first and third stages are subjected to anaerobic fermentation and returned to the first and second stages in ratio of 1/3 and 2/3, respectively.
