FIELD: chemistry of heterocyclic compounds. SUBSTANCE: the product: 2,5-diaryloxazoles. Compounds are prepared by bromination of acetophenone hydrochloride on cold with bromine and the resulting HBr is blown off with nitrogen gas, the resulting ω-bromoacetophenone directly in the reaction mixture is reacted with urotropin, the resulting complex is subjected to acid hydrolysis in alcohol at temperature of not higher than 14 C, the resulting hydrochloric phenacylamine is separated from the reactor and is immediately introduced into reaction of condensation with the corresponding acid chloride in aqueous medium, and the resulting amide is subjected to cyclodehydration with concentrated sulfuric acid.
