FIELD: scintillation technique.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to liquid scintillator that can be used for recording cosmic radiation. Invention describes a liquid scintillator comprising benzyl benzoate in combination with naphthalene and luminescent additive - 2-phenyl-5-(4-biphenylyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole or 1,3,5-triphenyl-2-pyrazoline in the following ratio of components, wt.-%: benzyl benzoate, 84.0-87.0; naphthalene, 12.5-15.0; indicated luminescent additive, 0.4-0.7. The proposed scintillator shows high scintillation effectiveness, availability without toxic properties and fire hazard.
EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of scintillator.
