FIELD: production of plastics. SUBSTANCE: method involves heat hydrolysis of mica suspension. The process is carried out within 30-90 min at 50-100 C in aqueous solution which contains 6-50 g/l of titanium chloride and hydrochloric acid. Then filtration, washing precipitate and heat treatment within 15-30 min at 700-800 C take places. Thus prepared pigment has high chemical and atmospheric resistance. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method. 1 tbl 1
