FIELD: technology of inorganic pigments. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating the ground mica suspension in solution containing titanium sulfate and sulfuric acid up to titanium hydroxide degree precipitation (as measured for TiO2,) 50-70%, additional addition of titanium sulfate as measured 0.1-0.3 weight p. TiO2 per 1 weight p. mica and suspension heating to 75-90 C followed by suspension filtration, washing with water to pH = 2-4 and then with water glass to pH = 6-8, drying a precipitate separated by filtration and its calcination. Method ensures to increase content of TiO2, in pearly pigment bound with mica particles by 1.5-fold and decrease water-retaining capacity by 30-35%. Pigment is used in paint and varnish industry, film materials, cosmetics and others branches. EFFECT: improved method of producing. 1 tbl
