FIELD: strengthening of steel parts. SUBSTANCE: method involves loading top beam with transverse bending force which is applied to thrust bearing support surface, when top beam rests on its outer end parts. Residual plastic deformations, occurring as a result of loading, do not exceed allowable deviation of part dimensions from its basic dimension. Lower band experiences limited deformation, as loading is increased due to resting of thrust bearing onto device preventing top beam from bending. When lower band middle portion acquires predetermined bending extent, top beam is subjected to transverse bending, with top beam resting on two supports spaced from central axis toward inclined portions of lower band , within the limits of vertical planes extending tangentially of inner edges of technological openings in part outer surfaces. Deformation of lower band horizontal portion is limited by device having oval-shaped supporting surface whose radius in longitudinal plane is at least equal to radii of lower band inclined portion joint. Deformation of lower band middle portion is effectuated by static loading which is uniformly distributed over thrust bearing support surface. Static loading is at least equal to 1.3 of loading causing deformation of lower band, when top spring beam rests upon outer end parts. Deformation of part middle portion is limited both in horizontal and vertical planes. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 1 dwg
