FIELD: investigation of strength properties of structures. SUBSTANCE: salient feature of invention lies in cyclic loading of thrust bearing unit under rated application of load to bearing surface of thrust point concentrated by means of intermediate spacer on local area. Loading condition is set on the basis of generation of tensile stresses on opposite wall of thrust bearing exceeding endurance of metal by amplitude. In this case beam is set with central part of surface opposite to positioning of thrust bearing unit on to support to limit sagging of part.
