FIELD: detection equipment. SUBSTANCE: signals from specified region of space are received and compared with threshold values in the presence of local formation created in advance with physical parameters differencing from environment. Local formation is formed in the form of background curtain either by distribution of substances in layer of environment or by use of dipole radio reflectors having spectrum components of own emission or reemission lying within reception band. Decision on detection of object is taken by excess of threshold value by rate of change of level or Doppler frequency of received signal. Reconstruction of local formation is performed periodically. Dipole reflectors have extended base which is made current conductive at least on part of cross-section. This part of dipole reflector is provided with outer radioparent layer having small reflection factor of electromagnetic wave of optical range of wave lengths.
