FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: highly enriched uranium is oxidized in atmospheric oxygen whereupon it is subjected to fluorination with elemental fluorine, with its excess above stoichiometric value by 5-50%. Hexafluoride obtained in the process is cleaned by centrifugal separation followed by mixing up with hexafluoride of uranium-235 whose content is lower than in fuel material by displacing gas flows of highly and slowly enriched uranium hexafluoride. For final procedure, product obtained in the process is desublimated prior to packing. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 5 cl, 1 dwg
