FIELD: hydraulic power. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic power plant has water conduit 1 being uncovered when passing through turbine room 2. Hydraulic turbogenerator units 6 are placed in turbine room 2 inside water conduit 1. Inlet and outlet sections of the water conduit are connected to water channel and equipped with isolation valves 3. Inlet pipe 4 with leak-tight lid 5 is placed on the top of water conduit 1 made in the form of siphon. The siphon is filled with water through pipe 4 with valves 3 closed. Then pipe 4 is closed with lid 5 and valves 3 are open to provide water motion through water conduit 1 and power generation by the hydraulic turbogenerator units.
