FIELD: construction industry, hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to hydraulic engineering, to construction of hydroelectric power plants without dam in particular. Hydroelectric power plant contains water intake near river, it supplies water to pressure water conduit from water intake to relay tank-tower. Relay tank-tower contains damper in the form of well made of reinforced-concrete rings which is attached to inner wall of tank-tower and is connected to pressure water conduit via valves, at that length of delivering pressure water conduit (L) is determined by relation of projected height of water pressure (H) in tank-tower to average incline (i) on used reach of river, upstream, at that area of cross section of relay tank-tower shall be not less than 4-multiple value of overall area of cross section of delivering pressure water conduit provided with valves, and water discharge from relay tank-tower to hydraulic turbines shall not exceed overall area of section of delivering pressure water conduit.
EFFECT: invention increases reliability of hydroelectric power plant operation.
