FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: gear box has housing, input and output shafts mounted inside the housing and mechanism for shifting gears. The shafts are provided with gears. The input shaft has slots. The output shaft is hollow and smooth and provided with through recesses made in the outer surface of the shaft at the gears. The gears are mounted on the shaft for permitting rotation and fixing. The shifting mechanism is made up as a rod with a handle at the one of the ends mounted inside the output shaft for axial movement. The handle can move in Z-shaped slot in the plate mounted on the box housing. The other end of the rod is provided with an oval head. The slots are set in the longitudinal recesses of the output shaft and spring- loaded with respect to its axis in the radial direction. The slots serve for interaction with the recesses made in the rod head. The head is mounted on the rod for permitting rotation about its axis and recesses made in seat openings of the output shaft gears. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
