FIELD: commercial rearing of prawns to obtain valuable setting material. SUBSTANCE: method involves keeping prawn larvae in nursery vessel together with zooplankton, phytoplankton and omnivorous aquarium fish, with quantity of fish being , where R is fish quantity; I is fish weight, g; r is fish day ration per %/100 of fish specimen weight; M is quantity of prawns; p is prawn weight, g; L is prawn day ration per %/100 of prawn specimen weight ; K is day weight of zooplankton introduced into vessel to maintain feed organism density optimum for prawns, with waste not taken into account, g; p is zooplankton waste per day (perished, eaten etc.) %/100 of gained day weight. Water temperature in vessel is selected on the basis of prawn growing temperature and fish keeping allowance temperature. EFFECT: increased capacity and improved quality of prawns.
