FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: powder arsenopyrite and metallic ferrum are mixed, their mass ratio being 1:0.35; 1:0.51; 1:0.68. Thus obtained mixture is affected by heat treatment within 60-90 min at 600-700 C in inert atmosphere. Calcine is alkalized with the help of 10 % hydrochloric acid, ratio of liquid and solid phases being 3:1. Arsenides of ferrum having formulae Fe2As, FeAs and FeAs2 are prepared at yield 95.6-98.2 %, their composition depends upon the ratio of origin reagents. EFFECT: improves efficiency of method. 2 tbl
