FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of non-ferrous and precious metals, particularly, to processing of sulphide concentrates containing gold and silver. Initial sulphide concentrate containing precious metals with calcium-containing flux is mixed to form a charge, flux calcium is represented by calcium carbonate or its oxide or hydroxide. Calcium chloride is added to the charge, at rate of 2–6 % of calcium chloride from weight of sulphides contained in sulphide concentrate, and then charge is burnt in medium of oxygen-containing gas at temperature of 600–750 °C to obtain ash. Obtained cake is milled into size less than 30 mcm and processed by cyanide leaching.
EFFECT: improved extraction of precious metals during processing of sulphide gold- and silver-containing concentrates.
