FIELD: sewing industry, in particular, making of overhanding stitches. SUBSTANCE: method of making of overhanding stitch with the aid of a needle, upper and lower loopers consists in multiple piercing of material with a needle and passing of needle loop through it, formation of a loop-lap, and passing of the lower loop thread through it, transfer of the thread with the looper through the material edge onto its top by the stitch value, throwing-off of threads from the working members and tightening of stitches. At piercing of material the needle with needle thread is passed through the gap between the previous needle loop located in the looper, and the looper thread running through the material edge, and at stitch tightening the newly formed needle loop is bent with the lower looper thread, and the first thread is moved to the point of piercing by the loop of the which the thread of the lower looper additionally winds round the needle loop. EFFECT: enhanced quality of stitch due to its higher resistance to uneaveling. 9 dwg
