FIELD: clothing industry. SUBSTANCE: stitch is formed by weave of needle thread and threads of lower and upper loopers. In this case, loops of upper looper are embraced by loops of lower looper and loops of lower looper by loops of needle thread, and loops of needle thread are embraced by thread of low or looper. Method of formation of three-thread overseam stitch with the help of needle, lower and upper loopers consists in multiple piercing of material by needle and taking through it of loop of needle thread, formation of lap of needle thread, taking of loop of lower looper through loop-lap of needle thread, taking the thread of upper looper from under thread of lower looper to material surface, motion of material and taking of loop of needle thread into thread triangle formed under material and consisting of preceding loop of needle thread located on lower looper thread of lower looper and section of thread of lower looper between loop- or and place of its weaving with thread of upper looper.
