FIELD: reflrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: recuperative cooler has hollow drums provided with inlet necks and outlet holes which are arranged around rotary furnace. Inner surfaces of drums are coated with armor plates provided with guide blades. Armor plates are mounted at spaced relation to drum housing, thus forming heat-insulating layer. Blades of armor plates are of two types: blades of first type are directed at angle towards discharge overlapping each other; blades of other type are parallel to drum axis; working surfaces of guide blades are made by radius. Drum is provided with heat-exchange devices made in form of V-shaped blades whose working surfaces are concave and their concavities are directed towards side opposite to sense of rotation of drum; V-shaped blades are arranged in circular rows; blades of one row are shifted relative to blades of next row.
