FIELD: concentration of mineral materials, processing of ferrous metal wastes. SUBSTANCE: magnetic separator for recovery of high degree of dispersion of the particles of magnetic component has magnetic system installed for rotation and consisting of magnets arranged over circumference. Magnetic system has low-voltage D.C. source, electric system consisting of electrodes, devices for intake and discharge of initial material of magnetic and nonmagnetic components, and high- voltage D.C. source for supply of electrodes. Separator has airtight body. Electrical system includes three electrodes located one under another. Upper and lower electrodes are profiled on the side of the interelectrode space, located horizontally and earthed. The middle electrode is profiled from both sides, connected with high-voltage source and installed at angle of 0.5-15 deg. to horizon. Holes in electrodes serve as devices for input of initial material and discharge of magnetic and nonmagnetic components. Magnetic system is located under the lower electrode and installed for rotation in horizontal plane. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 dwg
