FIELD: automatic landing of aircraft before touch-down. SUBSTANCE: coordinates of aircraft are measured and velocity and acceleration relative to these coordinates are determined; then reference descent path is formed at point of start of descent depending on parameters of aircraft motion at this point and at assumed point of touch-down, after which deviation of aircraft from this path is determined; every time at descent of aircraft, preset magnitudes of vertical and horizontal cross-stream components of descent velocity are formed to ensure landing of aircraft at preset touch-down point; deviation of present magnitude of vertical and horizontal cross-stream components of descent velocity from respective preset magnitudes is determined and control signals are formed according to this deviation. To enhance accuracy of landing, deviation of aircraft from reference path is additionally taken into account in forming the control signals at coefficient lesser than one. It is good practice to change magnitude of this coefficient during motion of aircraft over descent path. To enhance safety of landing in case of wind shear, maximum deviation of aircraft in altitude from preset path is set and if present deviation exceeds this value, new reference path is formed depending on magnitudes of coordinates and parameters of aircraft motion at point where above- mentioned requirement is met.
