FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of water and beverages with iodine and can be used for iodination of drinking water-base prepared beverages and in production of mineral water with corresponding iodine composition. Method involves preliminary treatment of drinking water by removing mechanical impurities, mixing stage with one or some iodine concentrates and final filtration of solution before it bottling. In the process of iodination of water and beverages mineral water "Ukrainskaya iodirovannaya concentrate" or in combination with other natural or artificial concentrates are added to iodine-enriching device for preparing iodine concentration in the end product 50-2 500 mcg/dm3 and copper concentration 1 000 mcg/dm3, not above. This technology allows broad using the proposed method in iodination of mineral water in production of different beverages, provides possibility to use natural and artificial iodine concentrates and their mixtures also for simultaneous saturation of water with iodine and other useful chemical elements of concentrated used.
