FIELD: friction- mechanical application of coatings; applicable in application of coatings to internal cylindrical surfaces, for instance, to engine cylinder liners. SUBSTANCE: device for friction-mechanical application of coatings has body, mechanism for pressing and feeding in form of air cylinder with distributing head and two pipe unions for air supply. Pressing and feeding mechanism is made in form of two coaxially installed sleeves comprising precision pairs with body and two hollow cylinders and rods freely moving on them. Rubbing members are secured to the rods. Body end face has annular recess for communication at air supply channels with working hollows. Rod is installed with two channels for air supply. Rod has two recesses on its other end and is connected with distributing head. Rubbing members in form of bars are installed on one another. They are made of the main friction material and medium material. Device is provided with automatic regulation of the force of pressing and feeding by maintaining the constant pressure exerted on the bar from the main friction material and bar from medium material due to operation of the reducing valve. Provision is also made of regulation of the actuation pressure of reducing valves by varying the rigidity of their springs by means of adjusting screws.
