FIELD: manufacturing industry. SUBSTANCE: method is developed to degass articles containing non-metal materials such as plastics, rubber, sealants, varnishes, paints, insulation materials and so on as well as elements (units, parts, assemblies) subject to protect against products of gas emission (glass, mirrors, lenses, electronic circuits and so forth). Article is placed into vacuum chamber and gases are evacuated under continuous heating with supply of feed gas. Feed gas is supplied without interruption from start of degassing process into zone of protected surface. Quantity of supplied gas is proportional to flow of gas emitted by articles subjected to degassing. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method. 4 dwg, 2 tbl
