FIELD: study of materials. SUBSTANCE: two identical specimens are cut from single section of material for analysis. First and then second specimens are heated in one chamber. Specimens are heated with different rate to temperature less that melting temperature and gas stream is measured per each specimen. Mentioned gas streams of one and same heating time are compared and information on depth of occurrence of gas is obtained by rate of growth of gas stream depending on rise of temperature. When gas is located in surface layers lesser gas stream corresponds to higher velocity of heating. EFFECT: increased sensitivity of analysis for depth of occurrence of gas in material. 4 dwg
