FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to break and sliding electric contacts with high hardness and low wear-out. Proposed electric contact material includes expanded graphite and graphite used as anti-scoring additive, aluminium oxide and silicon oxide used in the capacity of metal-and-oxide additive with following proportion of components, per cent by mass: expanded graphite 0.05- 2.0; aluminium oxide 0.5-2.0; silicon oxide 0.1-2.0; graphite 0.5-5.0; copper being the balance.
