FIELD: alternative current welding by coated electrodes and non-melting electrode in shield gases. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has welding transformer, including protective capacitor connected in parallel with secondary winding of the transformer. Step up transformer through accumulative capacitor and thyristor shunted by diode, is joined with the welding transformer. Secondary winding of step up transformer is connected with secondary winding of welding transformer and with first output of high-frequency choke whose second output is connected with welding load. Second output lead of winding of step up transformer through arc discharger is connected with welding load whose second lead is joined with welding transformer. Secondary winding of step up transformer is shunted by capacitor. EFFECT: enhanced structure of apparatus. 1 cl, 1 dwg
